2nd edition: This image is 16” x 10.6” with a border, making the finished measurements 19” x 13”. This edition is limited to 25 prints, each one handprinted and signed by Rachel Demy.

This photograph was captured backstage during a solo show in Chicago, IL in January 2020. It was originally used for the cover of Ben’s 7” single (and cassingle) “Proxima B b/w Filler”, released in May 2020.

This print is one of 15 prints included in a 2021 music photography group exhibition centered around artists and photographers from Bremerton, Washington. Here For Out There is a collection of portraits and live shots of Bremerton-native, Ben Gibbard (Death Cab for Cutie/The Postal Service), taken on tour from 2013 - 2020.

Please note: this image is haunted. After printing this run in a larger format, it became apparent that there is a face emerging from the brick wall behind Ben, which can also be seen on both the 7” and the cassingle. This is not a Photoshop trick. The face is embedded in the raw files of 6 other photographs from this series and none of them is alike. While it can’t be explained, it’s being left in the photograph because why not? It kinda looks like the Grinch, honestly. But if you aren’t down with ghosts, maybe don’t buy this print.

Each print is handprinted by the photographer on Canson Baryta Photographique 310 archival paper using Epson Ultrachrome HD archival inks.

The minimum proper viewing distance for this print is 2.5 feet.
